Simon joined OMERS in May 2017 and plays a key role in infrastructure investment origination and asset management activities in Australia. He currently serves on the Boards of the Port of Melbourne and the Transgrid Asset Trust. Previously, he was a director on the Board of LifeLabs Management Inc., Canada's largest community laboratory business.
Before his tenure at OMERS Infrastructure, Simon accumulated 11 years of experience at Morgan Stanley's Investment Banking Division. There, he advised corporate, institutional, and government clients on M&A transactions, privatizations, financing, and capital markets activities within the infrastructure, transport, energy, and utilities sectors. His career also includes positions at the New South Wales Treasury and ABN AMRO Corporate Finance.
Simon holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Finance and Accounting and a Master of Legal Studies, both from the University of New South Wales in Sydney, Australia. He is also a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
