Biography

Bruno is a Managing Director and Head of the Private Markets Risk team in New York, working with the Infrastructure, Private Equity, Private Capital and Oxford Risk teams on their transactions and portfolios across the globe.

Prior to joining OMERS, Bruno spent nearly six years at BlackRock as Head of Investment Risk for Global Infrastructure and Private Equity within the Risk & Quantitative Analysis (RQA) group. Before BlackRock, Bruno spent 16 years at Citigroup, where he began as an intern and banking analyst in Latin America before joining the Associate program in New York as part of the Institutional Clients Group Risk Strategy team.

During his tenure at Citigroup, Bruno held a variety of roles across both sell-side and buy-side businesses. He helped establish a workout and risk function for illiquid investments in the aftermath of the financial crisis, eventually becoming Head of Alternative Assets & Investments Risk while also managing and disposing of non-core private assets.

Bruno also served as Risk Lead for Corporate M&A and Strategic Investments, Co-Chair of Citi Ventures' Internal Investment and Risk Review Committee, Private Equity Product Specialist, and Senior Credit Officer (Level 2) with delegated credit and equity approval authority.

Bruno has a Bachelor of Business Administration with a minor in International Trade from Anglo Latino College in Sao Paulo.
